Halloween in Nigeria?

A few weeks ago a friend of mine sent me a message on facebook with a picture of a french maid costume telling me that she thinks that's what I should wear for Halloween. I was shocked!!!
Since when did Nigerians start dressing up for Halloween I wondered. But hey! I figured you only live once and so I ordered said french maid outfit for N10,500.00. Turns out that my friend is dressing up as a police officer and my other friend a sailor and we plan on going out tonight. I still cannot believe I am doing this, don't get me wrong, its not that I have not done this before, after all I dressed up as a school girl in my second year of Uni in the states and I remember my mom bought a Batman outfit for my brother a few years ago when he was in corona but I never thought that at 24 I would be doing this again seeing as I consider myself to be a serious minded person.
Turns out that this festival has been taken to greater heights in the U.S, it is no longer just for kids and hardly about trick or treating, oh no! it is now an excuse for adults to walk on the wild side and by wild I mean Sexy and if you don't believe me go to www.buycostumes.com
Having said that I have a few tips for looking sexy this Halloween

1. Do what you want, its the only time of the year that pretty much anything goes so please take advantage

2. Dont go overboard with tip number 1,still observe the rules of make-up so no blue eyeshadow, pink cheeks and redlips on the same face unless you are dressing up as a drag queen.

3. Sexy does not mean your boobs and ass should be hanging out (Sorry couldnt think of a better way to say it)

4. If you dont have anything to wear by all means grab a white shirt, a black mini skirt, a pair of socks, a tie and black shoes and go as a school girl. But don't forget the pig tails

5. Be safe and have fun!

XOXO
